*Ring**Ring*

Does this conversation sound familiar? Did she/he look really “sane” and “reliable” on paper? Were her/his references the bomb diggity? Are you really confused as to why you cannot get her/him to show up to the job that THEY wanted so badly? Are you trying to find a way to discover who a person really is off the resume paper? The obvious answer to all theses questions is yes, but what can you do about it?

Well maybe you should start doing what most corporations in America have been doing when it comes to the ever taunting game of roulette that is the Caregiver/employee selection process. Companies have been getting on sites such as Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo 360, Blogspot and many more, in order to see how the potential employees act outside of work. If we are to be overly honest with ourselves then we can admit that when it comes to Caregivers their personal lives always flow over into their work (Unless you are really lucky and get a great Aid that can separate the two and show up too work). You will be surprised what you can learn about a potential employee from their online social sites. People will post the dumbest information about themselves online without thinking anything of it. This same dumb information however, could save you the headache of dealing with someone who is crazy but interviews well. Just remember…..It’s NOT an invasion of their privacy if they leave their personal site open for public access. If they didn’t want people too see it then they would have clicked the privacy button when they signing up for the site.

I will post tips and tricks later on how to find people on these social site.
